Brooks Darrah

Brooks is an organizational consultant and executive coach with the Leets Consortium, headquartered in Irvine, California.

As a Certified Coach, Brooks supports new and emerging leaders, mid-level managers, and individual contributors in reaching their potential.  She has deep industry expertise in media, technology, and entertainment sectors. Brooks' optimistic outlook and warm, easygoing style help her clients find what is essential to them as individuals within what is critical to their employers for top performance.  Her academic and professional specialization in change management and organizational innovation are a concrete benefit to her coaching clients.

Brooks brings to her clients 14 years of consulting experience with DIRECTV, Wells Fargo, 20th Century Fox, the State of Alaska, and Sony Pictures Entertainment. 

As a business leader, Brooks' roles spanned a breadth of functions, including  operations, sales, product development, IT, and HR/recruiting.  She launched  the operations and product portfolios for major feature film production companies while based at 20th Century Fox and Sony Pictures Entertainment.  As a creative film producer, Brooks helped bring to fruition such films as The Nightmare Before Christmas for Tim Burton, Little Women for Denise Di Novi, and Titanic for James Cameron.  From her work with Cameron, Brooks developed an interest in technology and how it is changing our work lives; as a result, she spent several years managing large-scale onsite and offshore technology teams and business-critical initiatives.

Brooks graduated in January, 2014, with her PhD in Human and Organizational Systems from Fielding Graduate University, where she also earned her MA in Human Development and received her coaching credential.  Brooks completed her MS in Organization Development from Pepperdine's Graziadio School of Business and Management and graduated Magna Cum Laude with a BA in Drama from USC's School of Theatre.  She remains an active part of the education community as a volunteer leader, researcher, and teacher.

She is certified in a number of psychological instruments useful for coaching application, such as the EQi 2.0, Cpi260, Meyers-Briggs (MBTI), Creative Problem-solving Profile, DiSC, Lominger's 360 and Voices Programs.
