Kathy Sage

Kathy Sage is an organizational consultant and executive coach with The Leets Consortium, headquartered in Irvine, California. Kathy provides clarity to help people identify and shape roles that play to their strengths, thereby maximizing business results and personal satisfaction.

Kathy draws on over 30 years in leadership roles, including chief human resources officer at two major firms, chief operating officer at an 80 person consulting firm, and top sales and marketing executive for the West Division of an international HR consulting firm.

She helps clients in professional services, high tech, financial services, entertainment, and healthcare to hone their emotional intelligence and communication skills for high impact in leading people, developing relationships, and selling business engagements. Kathy coaches her clients to thrive in times of change: when joining a new organization, receiving a promotion, transforming a team, or preparing for succession.

At Watson Wyatt, she led the account management, client development and marketing functions for the Western Division. She championed leadership development and coached high potential individuals in the firm. She built high performing teams that developed close relationships with the firm’s largest clients. Her clients have included Amgen, The Aerospace Corporation, Bank of the West, Life Technologies, Sony Electronics, St. Joseph Health System, and Toyota.

As Chief Operating Officer at Sheppard Associates, Kathy led an 80 person communication consulting firm and creative agency. As lead consultant for several of the firm’s largest clients, including Apple and ARCO, she served as a sounding board and advisor on communicating topics ranging from mergers and strategic direction, to flexible benefits and financial planning.

Kathy was VP Human Resources at health maintenance organization Maxicare during its growth to 9000 employees, responsible for strategic planning, program design and implementation, merger integration, learning and development, communication and employee relations. At Informatics General Corporation she was responsible for all human resources functions for this 3,000 person computer services firm.

She is certified by the International Coaching Federation. She champions leadership development and serves as a mentor for Women Unlimited’s LEAD program and Athena’s Forum for Executive Women. She is past President of the Organization of Women Executives, member of the International Consortium of Coaches in Organizations, and the Professional Coaches and Mentors Association.

Education: Masters’ Level Certificate in Coaching at the Fielding Graduate University.  MBA with emphasis in Industrial Relations and Organizational Behavior and a B.A. in Education with a double major in English and Psychology from Arizona State University.
